The power of a great idea

My four year old daughter thinks I make pancakes for a living. Sometimes I wish it were true, because I like pancakes a lot more than I like advertising. After all, pancakes aren’t intrusive, annoying or unwanted. And they certainly aren’t in dire need of innovation.

What I really love though, are ideas.

A passion for great ideas, especially ones that don’t look like ads, is what got me into the business, and it’s what has kept me there. As the world transforms in front of our eyes, how people spend their time and what they pay attention to is changing all the time.

The only thing that won’t change is the power of a great idea.

Great ideas will always grab people’s attention. They are the currency that can build businesses, change behavior and define culture. In my career I've been behind a bendy busload of ideas, in all shapes and sizes.  One or two of them on the more forgettable side, admittedly, but most of them pretty decent. And quite a few of them, I’m proud to say, great.

I've compiled my favourites here.

Enjoy
